Our client did their due diligence and found that they could convert their existing tired home into a commercial property. The initial thought was to renovate the existing residence, but Neil Saliva Building Designs did a BCA Compliance Check for access and egress and it was determined that a lot of walls needed to be knocked down for the building to be complaint. Whilst shire council chuckled at our thought of demolishing and creating a new building for medical consulting rooms, they permitted the “Change of Use” as long as we did not create a detrimental impact to the streetscape.
